Gold Creek Snowshoe

Awesome snowshoe today up at Gold Creek near Snoqualmie Pass.  Since most of us are new to snowshoeing,  we decided to go on a guided one for our first Yoh! snowshoe adventure.  Victoria set us up with MWR, which is the outdoor recreation program at JBLM.  They provided us with snowshoes, poles, gaiters, hot chocolate, transportation to & from Gold Creek and our two awesome guides, Robert & Dana. We couldn't have asked for better weather conditions.  We had blue skies and sun (yes! it still exists!) with no wind to speak of.  In all we covered approximately 3.5 miles-quite the workout, my hips were starting to protest a bit at the end.  What a great way to start off our 2013 Yoh! adventures.

Some excited faces!!

Cute Pam!

The snow was very crystallized and really loud under our snowshoes.
