Yoh! Hike to Norway Pass

We have lucked out more times than I can count when it comes to the weather.  After a couple of dismal days, the sun returned for our hike on the Norway Pass trail at Mt. St. Helens.  We were able to enjoy beautiful views of Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens.  Some fall colors were just starting to be visible.  It wasn't an extremely long hike, but it was very hilly, especially the first mile.  In all we hiked 4.5 miles out and back, taking about an hour and a half up and a little under an hour on the way back.  There were still ample signs of destruction from the volcanic eruption over 30 years ago!  It was a great hike, and a wonderful end to my 3 year stint as the leader of Yoh!  It has been a lot of fun, and I can't wait to see what Teresa has in store for us when she takes over next month.
